School Rules

GPM

Strict regularity, obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct, cleanliness of dress and person is expected from every Student. Students must strictly conform to the regulations laid down in this regard.

All Students must possess a copy of the college calender which is to be brought on all working days.

Students must speak in English in the College premises.

Students are not allowed to visit the staff-room.

Articles found in the college are to be handed over to the Principal's Office.

Fines may be imposed by the Principal for irregularity, indiscipline or damage caused to the college property.

Any kind of damage caused to the college property will have to be compensated for.

Books, newspapers or periodicals, that do not concern academics, must not be brought to the college without the Principal's permission.

The college authorities do not hold themselves responsible for a student's loss of money, books, jewellery or articles of clothing, etc. They are expected to look after their own belongings very carefully. It is suggested that students do not bring any valuables to college.

No student is allowed to use any make up while coming to school.

Students are responsible to the college authorities not only for their conduct in the college but also for their general behaviour outside. Any report of objectionable conduct on the part of the Students make them liable for disciplinary action.

The Principal may punish an erring student in a manner suited to the offence.

All Students must take part in drill and outdoor games. Students who can not do so on grounds of health or physical disability should produce a proper medical certificate.

The dates of Parent-Teacher meetings will be given in the school calendar. Parents/Guardians are requested to make use of this to meet the teacher of their wards and discuss the progress of their children and enable both, teacher & parent, to understand the child better. These are occasions for the parents to let the teacher know that they also care for their child and to know the teacher's efforts who work for their child.

As far as possible all requests to meet the teacher to discuss the courses or anything pertaining to studies should be kept for the Parent/Teacher meeting. In urgent cases the Principal's permission is needed to see teachers.
